Nothing says romance better than recreating love scenes between the dead & living, so let me be your Oda Mae This special session takes place during Artist Hours while the market is closed to the public. Join me in the Clay Kitchen on Valentines for a special Private Pottery Wheel for two experience perfect for beginners and all levels of clay enthusiasts. Each potter gets to experience clay at their own wheel, however ghosting will NOT be discouraged :) There is no experience necessary to try this timeless art form. I will guide you through the process, provide all of the materials and tools necessary to explore the wheel. We will prep a few balls of clay and then start throwing on the pottery wheel. I provide as much guidance and assistance as you need/desire so that you may create at your own pace at the wheel. You may create as many pieces as you are able during our session. At the end of the session, select two pieces for firing. Following our class, your projects will be fully dried, fired and finished in your choice of glaze to create functional pieces of art. Additional pieces can be fired and glazed for $15 each. Finished products are available within 4 weeks. You will be emailed when they are completed. Fired work will remain in the studio for 6 weeks once ready before being donated. Arrangements for shipping can be made from $25. *Pieces are NOT guaranteed and can fail at various points in the process for many reasons. It is the nature of the art and while no compensation will be made in the event of tragedy, I try to make it right. Please make sure to arrive in clothes that can get messy. No experience necessary BYOB & feel free to bring your own favorite treats.
